POSITION TITLE: Princeton Project 55 Fellow - Assistant to the Director of Clinical Services and Employee Health.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Fellow will have a broad public health experience in a rapidly changing post disaster health department environment. Duties will include involvement in the full scope of responsibilities of the Director of Clinical Services with assignments in diverse but overlapping projects. These projects will include involvement in directing operations and personnel management, medical practice management, development of marketing and communications plans including web content, data collection, analysis, including the use of GIS and grants management and application writing, integration of grant programs into clinical offerings, participation in emergency preparedness planning and response. Professional Development: A fellow would be working directly with the Director of Clinical Services and Employee Health Division in a rapidly changing post disaster environment. The fellow should understand that flexibility in accepting assignments is critical as this office deals fluidly with diverse but overlapping projects including clinical services, employee health and wellness, school based health care, communications and marketing, contracts, personnel and operations management and emergency preparedness planning and operations. The fellow will leave the experience with an understanding of the integrated complexities of communities and public health, organization and finance, disease surveillance, process improvement, communications, contracts and emergency preparedness and management. There is a high possibility that the fellow will also have an opportunity to participate in the esteemed New Orleans Mayoral Fellows Program.
