PP55 Announces Successful Launch of Project 55 Connect

By Kim Hendler, Executive Director

Last spring, Princeton Project 55’s Board of Directors voted to invest in a comprehensive online program, Project 55 Connect, envisioning it to be a foundation for PP55’s communications and community, both now and in the future.

Project 55 Connect launched last fall and has been successfully handling the fellowship application process ever since. For the first time this year, potential fellows were able to scan through fellowship opportunities online, sorting by location or interest or by a specific organization’s name.

But Project 55 Connect is not for the fellows alone. Alumni can search our online calendar of events, see volunteer opportunities and job postings from other organizations, make donations, and search for classmates and friends. In the past few months, organizations such as Roxbury Preparatory Charter School in Massachusetts; Environmental Defense in Austin, Texas; and StreetWise in Washington, D.C. have posted positions intended for former interns and fellows from Project 55 – just one of the many benefits of being a part of the Project 55 Connect network.

Project 55 Connect allows Project 55 to better accomplish its mission of building civic leadership by facilitating interaction and support among alumni; making resources and information more accessible to donors, volunteers, and program participants; and increasing staff efficiency.

So how do you get started? It’s easy: visit our homepage - www.project55.org - and click on the word, “Login,” above the navigation bar in the top right corner of the page. This will take you to the Project 55 Connect page, where as a new user you may register, or as a returning user you may enter the gateway to an array of new opportunities.

PP55 is excited about the possibilities offered by Project 55 Connect.
